Yesterday, Roja Dove launched his latest Roja Parfums creation – Fetish Parfum – at the Beaufort Bar in the Savoy Hotel, London.
The launch was a huge success, and was attended by the most senior beauty editors and journalists in Britain.
Fetish Parfum is a Chypré – warm, dry, spicy, leathery, & very sensual. The smoky, sensual, leathery-note of Castoreum permeates the blend of Oakmoss, Patchouli, and Vetiver, which is underscored by Musk, warmed by Cinnamon, Clove, Cedarwood, and Cedar Needles – the whole freshened by touches of Bergamot, Petitgrain, and Galbanum with a heady blend of Jasmine, Tuberose, Ylang Ylang, and Rose at its heart.

Roja’s jacket for the launch was especially made for him by Stephen Williams of Bespoke HQ. Stephen’s tailoring is genius, and this jacket is one of the finest pieces of clothing that Roja has ever worn – its cut, cloth and colour are perfect for Roja.
This Thursday 13th December, Roja will be launching his latest Roja Parfums creation to the press – Fetish Parfum – and revealing what it is that makes you “Succumb To Your Desires” every time you smell it.
In anticipation, Roja commented,
“Nothing is darker than leather in all its guises. I urge you to beware, as once you have entered there is no escape. I have created a perfume that, once under its spell, there is no return. See for yourselves if you can escape its magic”.

For Vogue’s Online Fashion Week, Roja was interviewed by Harrods to discuss the secrets of applying scent properly, and how the right fragrance can unlock emotions that recall the most powerful loves, creating memories in the process, and even sometimes scandals.
Roja was delighted to begin the launch week of Roja Parfums in the UAE, exclusively for Paris Gallery, with a personal training session for all the Paris Gallery team, and Roja Parfums representatives.
Roja discussed the construction, facets and families of fragrance before recounting the inspiration of the brand, and each Roja Parfums scent, revealing anecdotes about the industry that only he knows.
Roja is immensely proud of the team and truly feels that each member now embodies the ethos of Roja Parfums – “it has to be the best”.
This week, Roja Dove officially launched the world’s first ever Roja Parfums Boutique in Paris Gallery at The Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi.
VIP guests of Paris Gallery enjoyed a ‘by invitation only’ evening with Roja. The event was a resounding success with guests staying late into the evening.
This marked a global first – Roja Parfums is now available in the UAE for the first time and exclusively for Paris Gallery.
Of the launch, Roja said,
“I could not be more thrilled and excited, and hope the brand will continue to be as influential in Abu Dhabi, as it has already been around the world. Last week, Roja led a very special event at Mosimann’s
dining club in Knightsbridge in which he created an innovative menu alongside
Marc Mosimann, and gave guests the chance to smell oils that related to the
ingredients in their exquisite food. Each dish explored a different fragrance
family and provided a truly unique sensory experience.
Roja also conducted a master class on scent, with guests, which
included Prince Mohsin Ali Khan, able to track the social development of
fragrance by smelling the great classics of the industry, along with Roja
Last night, Roja was invited to attend a prestigious event at No 10 Downing Street. “Roja for Prime Minister” was called out by many on the night more than once, and what a fabulous one he would be! It is a historic building, and Roja was honoured to attend, along with many distinguished friends from the creative industries.
Roja collaborated with the renowned British couturier, Nicholas Oakwell, by creating a bespoke scent for his Autumn / Winter 2012 show at Claridge’s Hotel Ballroom.
Nicholas’ collection was inspired by the lush decadence of 1970s New York. The scent Roja created for the show was a Chypré: fresh, sweet, sensual & leathery and perfectly complemented the modern and luxurious tailoring, enveloping the room in fragrance. Claridge’s Ballroom was entirely transformed into a sensuous lounge environment, the sultry atmosphere made even more dramatic by Roja’s Vetiver, Labdanum, Tuberose and Cedarwood candles burning whilst the models interacted with the stage sets on the catwalk.
Following a breath-taking and unconventional show, featuring designs of hand-made lace and shaved mink and fox fur, guests were treated to a glass of champagne.
This week, Roja held a Jasmine training session for some journalists and friends, discussing; the history of fragrance, fragrance families, ingredients, industry trends, and of course, Roja’s famed anecdotes of the fragrant world. Gareth Wyn Davies, Sunday Telegraph, and Christopher Stocks, freelance, were some of the fortunate guests to attend Roja’s talk.
Last night, Roja attended the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards. It was a fabulous evening and Roja got the pleasure of meeting soul legend Dionne Warwick, who won the Icon Award. She wore a dazzling black gown embellished with sparkling silver beads, and looked every bit as glamorous as she ever did.
